Maggie Kay Foundation Volunteer Program is an integrative learning experience designed to promote global learning through community-based service. Participants are assigned to locally-prioritized projects which aim to address societal and environmental issues. Along the way, participants are exposed to diverse cultures and ideas and are given the opportunity to improve important skills such as critical thinking, adaptability, and intercultural communication. Through observation, reflection, application, and articulation of new knowledge, participants are encouraged to challenge old perceptions and cultivate new perspectives.
